I first began working for 211 back in 2004 covering the third shift hours as part of my job responsibilities as a Residential Specialist at a local half-way house. At that time our 211 was operated by United Way of Lake County. I left in 2011 but returned in 2013 part-time and by then 211 operations switched to Lifeline. In September of 2019 I transitioned into my current position at Program Manager. Over the past 20 years I have worked in many different settings, including a workshop for persons with developmental disabilities, nursing home, residential setting for persons with mental health issues, and case management for persons with mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. I feel that all of these experiences have helped me in my work as an I&R Specialist and vice versa.
