If the answer is no, then you might want to add this one to your list.

The New Virtual Classroom by Ruth Colvin Clark and Ann Kwinn

Confession time: I haven't read this yet. I am adding this one to my reading list, though. If you're like me and you're considering webinars as a way to provide more learning to either your staff or to a larger group of people, we need to grab onto concepts that are going to engage our audience.

Yes, you read the title correctly. Everything that I'm posting about today is available free.

Does it look like other training material that you may have used in the past? Maybe. Do you have to do some "adaptation" of it to make it work for you? Maybe.

Now you're thinking, "If I have to adapt it, is it still free?"

My answer to that would be...yes...and no. You'll still need to invest time in doing some research and maybe even viewing/approving material that you'd like to use. You may want to customize things for your team. In the final analysis, you can decide how much "free" really costs you and if you have the item in your "budget" to use it.

We keep a log of calls on a form as we take them with a brief description of what we did for the client and turn all of them in at the end of the month.

Has anyone done a satisfaction survey of the agencies they refer to, or the agencies that refer callers to the I&R Center, rather than to the individuals that were served?  If so, could you please share the questions you ask?  You can reply here or email me at director@info-line.org [more]
